Lex
McMahon , President/Grunt
Consummate professional is the only way to describe the manner in
which Lex McMahon handles himself. He is quickly establishing himself
as an innovative business leader. Born in San Francisco, Lex began
his road to success on the battleground streets of Mogadishu, Somalia
as a U.S. Marine participating in Operation Restore Hope and Operation
Continue Hope from December 1992-June 1994. While serving in the harsh
combat environment of Somalia, Lex learned the core values and leadership
skills that have become the defining force in his professional career.
Lex has significant entrepreneurial experience and success which was
gained while serving as Chairman and CEO of numerous start-up ventures
in diverse industries ranging from consumer goods, technology, and
venture capital. Lex received a BA in English from the University
of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB), a Juris Doctor from California
Western School of Law. And a MBA from Pepperdine University's Graziadio
School of Business and Management Executive MBA program, currently
ranked #19 in the world. Lex is also a founding member of Young Leaders,
an organization of young CEOs, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs,
and philanthropists that focuses on and discusses current issues affecting
small businesses in an effort to strengthen and promote the roll small
business ventures play in today’s economy. Finally, in April
2007 Lex joined the prestigious, publicly traded, venture capital
firm of FutureVest as the VP of Operations. In his capacity for FutureVest,
Lex has served on the Board of Directors and as the COO of several
internationally based technology companies.
Lex enjoys spending time with fiancé, Ashley and their dogs,
Smokie and Mister (yes that’s his name) as well as, hiking and
skiing in the mountains and participating in mixed martial arts (MMA).
